I began my career in couple and family therapy as the Client Services Coordinator at the Couple and Family Therapy Masters Program at the University of Guelph. Within this role, I worked on a team of staff and faculty that trained masters’ level students in couple and family therapy. This position allowed me to see the power of creating intentional and supportive spaces for individuals, couples, and families to work on important change in their lives. I was able to witness the ways in which people could use these supportive spaces to help them shift and transform the challenges in their lives and step more fully into their preferred hopes for themselves.

After being inspired during my time at University of Guelph, I decided to continue on and pursue a Masters of Science Degree in couple and family therapy at North Dakota State University. The program at North Dakota State University provided couple and family therapy training with a unique focus on LGBTQ+ affirmative, feminist, and social justice informed therapy services.

As a therapist, I have spent time working in a day treatment hospital setting, addictions services, post secondary education, and private practice. In my private practice, I most often connect with individuals, as well as couples and other relationship structures. Over the last 4 years, I have started training in more somatic and EMDR modalities, which I provide care in as well.

Outside of therapy, I am dedicated to my own care and wellness. I am an avid hiker and spend as much time outdoors as I can. My time in nature is restorative and healing for me. I am also continually deepening my practice of self-compassion. I believe holding acceptance for ourselves and what we’ve endured allows us to live in a more embodied and connected way.
